The Inagural Exhibition of Contemporary Kenyan Art in London

An exhibition of Contemporary Kenyan Art, marking 60 years Kenyan Independence at Jamhuri Day Celebrations in London.

The exhibition aims to support the professional development of young underrepresented Kenyan visual artists while positioning Kenya as a global contender in contemporary visual arts.

Kanaiza was selected by the Kenya High Commission and Kenya Cultural Centre to be the cultural dialogue partner and curator of the Visions & Possibilities exhibition.

Curator Kanaiza in conversation with Michael Pundo; CEO of the Kenya Cultural Centre, Olivia Ouko ; Deputy Director Kenya Ministry of Youth Affairs and Creative Economy and Sharon Gekonge, a young surrealist visual artist from Kenya.

We had the pleasure of working with her to help deliver ‘Visions and Possibilities : The Inaugural Exhibition of Contemporary Kenyan Art in London’ to mark Jamhuri Day (Kenya’s 60th year of independence).
